Office Hand-over of Chief of Public Relations Department
Today, hand-over of office of Head of Public Relations Department was carried out in that Department - Navy Captain Petar Bošković handed over the office to Colonel Mihailo Zogović.
Speaking to the present during the office hand-over, Navy Captain Petar Bošković said that the Public Relations Department was known and respected as a good example of functioning of a public relations service. He reminded that at the time the Department had entered social networks before all other state institutions, addressing the younger population and familiarising them with the values and positive sides of military profession. That, and many other innovations, are examples of application of modern technology in the field of public relations - Bošković stated and wished further successful work to the Department and Colonel Zogović.
Assuming the duty of Head of Public Relations Department, Colonel Zogović thanked Navy Captain Petar Bošković on cooperation and underlined that the new duty was particular honour for him, and responsibility as well and a new challenge.- We will continue our work on building and developing capabilities of the Public Relations Department, and we will inform the public proactively, swiftly and precisely on the activities of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, endeavouring to objectively present to the citizens the efforts, readiness and capabilities of Serbian soldiers and the Serbian Armed Forces. Particularly important segment of Department’s work which we will further develop is the communication with all media in Serbia and our target groups - Colonel Zogović said and added that in the field of publishing and cultural work, the Department would direct its potentials towards promotion of verified cultural values and glorious military tradition upon which the Serbian Armed Forces had been founded.
Colonel Mihajlo Zogović PhD was born in 1976. He graduated from the Military Grammar School with excellent grades and graduated at the Military Technical Academy in Belgrade in 1999 with excellent grades. During his career as an officer, he performed duties in the Special Unit, at the Military Academy as a teacher and head of cadet classes, and later he was assigned to the Fund for Social Insurance of the Military Insured. He has been in the Public Relations Department since 2010, and from 2014 until the present he performed duty of Head of Media Division and Deputy Head of Department. Colonel Zogović obtained his MA degree in 2008, and his PhD in 2012, and in 2015 he was selected to be a lecturer at the Military Academy. He is a member of European Military Press Association. He is married and has two children.
