Assistant Minister of Defence Paying Visit to Greece
Acting Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Milan Ranković MA stays in official visit to the Hellenic Republic, where he met Deputy Minister of National Defence Alkiviadis Stefanis in Athens.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed opportunities for further advancement of military-to-military, military technical and cooperation in the area of military education. On behalf of Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin, Assistant Minister Ranković extended invitation for Hellenic Minister of National Defence Nikos Panagiotopoulos to pay official visit to Serbia by the end of the year.
At a meeting with Head of Diplomatic Office of Hellenic Ministry of National Defence, Ambassador Eleftherios Anghelopoulos, Assistant Minister Ranković confirmed the orientation of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia towards enhancement of cooperation in the framework of regional initiatives in the area of South East
Europe relating to defence and security. He also stressed that during Greek Chairmanship over SEDM (2017-2019) progress had been made in promoting peace and stability in the region, and that both Serbian and Greek side had closely cooperated during organisation of SEDM meeting held in Belgrade in October 2018.
During the visit to Greece, Assistant Minister Ranković attended a ceremony of handing over the chairing over SEDM Process between Greece and Albania.
