Tank exhibited in front of the Red Star Stadium is a model
The Spokes-person of the Ministry of Defense and Serbian Armed Forces, Major Milan Gujanica said the permanently demilitarized T-55 tank, which was exhibited in front of the northern part of the Red Star stadium “Rajko Mitić” of the “Red Star”(“Crvena Zvezda”) Football Club, is not property of the Serbian Ministry of Defense and is not a weapon or item of military equipment.
- All elements for combat action and moving have been disabled or removed from the tank. The tank has no motor or transmission, the barrel is welded and the sighting and optical devices are removed. In its present state, the exhibited tank is a model and a museum exhibit - Major Gujanica emphasized.
