Ministers Vulin and Shoygu at the closing of the Army Games International in Russia
Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin, who is visiting the Russian Federation at the invitation of the Russian Army General Sergey Shoygu, attended the final race of the “Tank Biathlon” at the Albino training grounds near Moscow today; this even concluded one of the largest military sports competitions in the world in 2019.
Minister Vulin and Russian Minister of Defense Sergey Shoygu first visited the stand of the Republic of Serbia at the House of Friendship, where our country was represented. The Serbian Minister presented his Russian counterpart with the book “20 Years since the NATO Aggression on the FRY” (“Dvadeset godina od NATO agresije na FRJ”) and “Serbian Commanders in the Russian Armed Forces” (“Srpski zapovednici u ruskoj vojsci”) published by the Media Center “Odbrana” (“Defense”).

“Out of 23 countries, we came eighth in place, and compared to last year, we took a step forward. Two Divisions, two qualitative groups were established this year. I am pleased at our result, considering the quality and number of teams that ended up behind us. These are countries with ten times more inhabitants than Serbia, with a sizably equivalent ratio of their Armed Forces.” said Lieutenant Colonel Rade Adamović, who was head of the Serbian Armed Forces team at the “Tank Biathlon”. Lieutenant Colonel Adamović added that the teams prepare very seriously for this competition and that most of them have training grounds that are identical to the “Albino” training grounds.
Serbian colors at this year’s Army Games International taking place between 3 and 17 August were represented and defended by members of the Serbian Armed Forces in three disciplines: “Tank Biathlon”, “Military Rally” and “Sniper Frontier”. The first two disciplines were fought in the Russian Federation and the third in the Republic of Belarus.

A notable result was also achieved by the Serbian Armed Forces Team at the “Military Rally”, one of 32 disciplines at this year’s Army Games International, sharing the third place with the Belarus team. The winning team was Russian Federation and PR of China came second.
The “Army Games International 2019”, fifth in a row, were held across 21 training grounds and 10 countries: Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia and Uzbekistan. The number of participant exceeded 5.000, assigned to 223 teams from 39 countries from Europe, Asia, Africa, Central and Latin Americas.
