Tankmen of the Serbian Armed Forces Sent Off to International Military Games
Tankman of the Serbian Armed Forces departed early this morning from Belgrade airport “Nikola Tesla” to the Russian Federation where they are going to participate in “International Military Games 2019” to be held on Alabino training area. Our tankmen were seen off by the Army Commander Lieutenant General Milosav Simović.
Bidding them farewell on behalf of the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin and Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović and on his own name, General Simović underlined that they were facing a very important task.- Before departing for this extremely complex task, when you know that you will compete with great forces of the world in knowledge, technique, skill, speed, resilience and resourcefulness, you have to be proud of having an opportunity to represent your country. Do it like you have done it so far, honourably, honestly and with dignity. I am confident that you will give your best at the competition and demonstrate what you have been training. Glorify the spirit of your ancestors at every moment. Hold your heads high and walk straight to victory! - the Army Commander sent the word.
At one of the greatest military sporting competitions, our tankmen will be led by Commander of the 2nd Army Brigade, Brigadier General Željko Kuzmanović and Lieutenant Colonel Rade Adamović, who is the leader of the tank biathlon team.
At this year’s competition 21 members of the Serbian Armed Forces will participate in the event “Tank Biathlon”. Preparations of the tank crews started on 21st May and they were conducted on T-72 tank on training areas of the Serbian Armed Forces. After great work and practicing of all individuals and the selection, crews were selected that are to represent our country. The competition in the most attractive event will last until 17th August.This year, the members of the Serbian Armed Forces participate in the International Military Games in the events “Tank Biathlon”, “Military Rally” and “Sniper Border”. The first two events will take place in the Russian Federation, while the third is going to be held in the Republic of Belarus.
