Delegation of War Heritage Institute of the Kingdom of Belgium Visited the Exhibition “Defence 78”
Delegation of War Heritage Institute of the Kingdom of Belgium, led by the Institute Director Michel Jaupart, toured the exhibition of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces “Defence 78” set up in the Museum of the City of Belgrade to mark the 20th Anniversary of defence of the fatherland against NATO aggression.
The exhibition is dedicated to killed members of the military, police and civilians, among whom, unfortunately, there were many children, and in terms of theme and concept, the exhibition follows the entire period of aggression, which started by attack against the FR Yugoslavia on 24th March 1999, without approval of the United Nations Security Council.
The multimedia, interactive set up, by the author Dušan Jovović, is divided in eight segments which in a unique way depict heroic defence of the country during the aggression, and multitude of video and printed material has been shown to public for the first time.The exhibition “Defence 78” was realised with the support of the Military Museum and the Museum of Aeronautics, and the valuable contribution was provided by the units of the Serbian Armed Forces.
