Minister Vilin: This is not politics, this is retaliation
“The ban for Serbian officials on entering the territory of the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija is yet another proof that Shiptar leadership avoids the dialog at all costs. After compete fiasco of their attempts to make the Serbs buy smuggled goods from trucks they are now trying to punish the Serbs by forbidding or cutting the ties with their state leadership. No one can cut the ties between the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija and their Government and their president” Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin stated commenting on the decision of Priština to ban all Serbian officials from entering the territory of Kosovo and Metohija.
He stressed that the Shiptar leadership would not succeed in doing it this time. “This is not politics; this is retaliation; this is an attempt at taking their rage out on the
Serbs from the territory of Kosovo and Metohija, trying to cut every link between them, the Government of the Republic of Serbia and their president. This will simply not be possible; it is not possible; they have never succeeded in that and they will not manage to do it this time as well” Minister Vulin said.
The minister of defence pointed out that it was a test from the new Brussels administration – if they were capable of exerting their authority, to ensure at least elementary movement of people, since they had failed in ensuring the movement of goods. “I hope that the new Brussels administration will abandon the practice of releasing communiques according to which the both sides should refrain and in which they constantly tried to equalise Serbia with Shipar leadership” Minister Vulin stated.
