Ensemble “Binički” and Mixed Choir of the MoD and SAF at Vidovdan Festivities in Kruševac




 
Artistic Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence “Stanislav Binički” and Mixed Choir of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces performed this evening at the plateau in front of the church Lazarica in Kruševac as part of Vidovdan festivities.
 
The renowned ensemble traditionally participates in the programme dedicated to memory of epic victory of Serbian army at Gazimestan, and this year the performance is a part of activities by which the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces mark two decades of NATO aggression against our country.
 
Before the beginning of the concert dedicated to the Remembrance Day of the Victims of NATO aggression, the Head of the Ensemble, Commander Svetozar Vasilevski greeted the present and announced the programme and the performers.
 
-We are glad to participate again in the artistic programme of Vidovdan Festivities in the town of Kruševac, with a concert which we dedicate to all the immortal heroes in the liberation wars in Serbia – Vasilevski said announcing popular melodies to be performed by the Artistic Ensemble “Stanislav Binički“ and Mixed Choir of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces under the conductor’s baton of Katarina Božić with soloists Pavle Panin and Milena Kostić.
 
Participants in the concert, which was attended by representatives of the town, organisations and institutions, priesthood and numerous audience, were also the Children’s Choir of the Cultural Centre of Kruševac and the Mixed Choir “Sveti Knez Lazar”.
