A visit to the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst
Delegation of the Military Academy led by the commandant Major General Prof. Dr Bojan Zrnić, accompanied by Defence Attaché of the Republic of Serbia in the United Kingdom, Navy Captain Slobodan Novaković and the UK Defence Attaché to the Republic of Serbia, Colonel Nik Ilić, visited the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) and Oxford University Officers’ Training Corps (UOTC).
During the visit, they exchanged experience in officers’ schooling, and the delegation had opportunity to see how the training for cadets who are to become officers of the United Kingdom Army is carried out.
In addition to this training, there are numerous courses for the needs of creating leadership skills of the officers’ cadre.
In Oxford, they viewed capacities of the Officers’ Training Corps considering that through this kind of preparation, a stable source of cadets for the Royal Military Academy (RMAS) is provided.
Until the end of the visit, the delegation is to visit the Defence Academy (DA), Shrivenham, the Westbury-based Army Officer Selection Board (AOSB) and the 4th Regiment (4 RIFLES) in Aldershot.
