Participation in European Union Military Committee meeting
The Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Major General Petar Cvetković participated in the meeting of the European Union Military Committee held in Brussels, today.
At the meeting, they discussed the current situation in EU Naval Forces operation Atalanta in Somalia, implemented under the EU Common Security and Defence Policy, as well as the situation in EU training missions in Mali, the Central African Republic and Somalia.
They also talked about the activities within the Single European Sky project, whose realisation would create the conditions for a significant increase in air traffic in Europe in line with the planned economic development.
The Serbian Armed Forces participates in four EU missions with 22 its members: in training missions in the Central African Republic, Somalia and Mali and EU Naval Force Operation Atalanta in the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean.
