Minister of Defence meets with participants in General Staff Course in Moscow
During his stay in Moscow at the 8th Conference on International Security, Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin met with Serbian officers attending the General Staff Course of the Russian Federation's Armed Forces.
Four members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces are currently attending the Special College of the Military Academy, 'Military Security of the State' programme: Colonel Zlatko Bogosavljević of the Department for International Military Cooperation, Colonel Miljan Vlašković of the Military Security Agency, Lieutenant Colonel Srđan Zgonjanin from the Intelligence and Reconnaissance Department of the General Staff and Lieutenant Colonel Miloje Ilić of the Military Academy.

In conversation with our officers, Minister Vulin was interested in the programmes of their training and conditions of stay.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Miloje Ilić, Tactics teacher at the Military Academy, the requirements for attending the advanced studies are very high and require full-time engagement. He also points out that the Russians are proud of the pace and the way they qualify their officers and that education in Russia is good experience for all.

Lieutenant Colonel Zlatko Bogosavljević points out that the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation is one of the most valuable military schools in the world, completed by all Russian generals. According to him, in the Academy they acquire knowledge about the highest level of state security, military management and operations at the strategic level. He assesses the acquired knowledge as useful, particularly because of the opportunity to transfer them to Serbia, harmonised with domestic laws and experiences, in order to increase the security of the state.
General Staff course at the Russian Military Academy lasts for 10 months, and at the Special College, around 100 members of the armed forces from twenty countries of the world are educated and developed in different curricula.
