Professional soldier Corporal I. M. (1981) from Kruševac, serving with 246 CBRN battalion, who left the dormitory during the night, was found dead this morning at 5:50 in the Bistrica River, the village of Dvorane.
Duty that Corporal I. M. performed was motor vehicle driver within the framework of the planned activity of providing logistical support during day and night conditional march of his unit.
The Senior Public Prosecutor from Kruševac, the Military Police and the Ministry of Internal Affairs Authorities are conducting the investigation on the spot.
The Commander of the Land Forces has formed a commission to investigate the cause of this event that was immediately sent to the site.
Corporal I. M. has been the member of the Serbian Armed Forces since 1 October 2003. He was married and father of two children.
