Opening of the Conference of Defence Attachés
Today, Director of the Military Intelligence Agency, Brigadier General Zoran Stojković, has opened the ninth Conference of Defence Attachés of the Republic of Serbia.
General Stojković pointed out that the Conference was an opportunity to analyse the results of work by Defence Attachés’ Offices achieved in 2018 and to give the defence attachés the guidelines for their further work. He reminded that, in the previous year, the Military Intelligence Agency had expanded its military diplomatic network with two new Defence Attaché’s Offices opened in Belarus and Iran, while some of the existing ones had received multiple accreditations.
“We will try to justify the confidence which has been given to us by providing our support to development of bilateral military and military economic cooperation of Serbia with other countries. We will continue being a strong support to Serbian state diplomacy by promoting the concept of military neutrality and spreading the truth about Kosovo and Metohija” said Brigadier General Stojković at the opening of the Conference.
In the days to come, the Defence Attachés are to be addressed by leading officials of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, and representatives of other state bodies.
The Conference of Defence Attachés is going to last until 11th March.
