Minister Vulin: Neither ROSU nor KFS can go to the north of Kosovo and Metohija without the consent of the Serbs

”We asked the KFOR for an explanation, we asked them to briefly explain to us what the KFOR representative meant when he said that the forces of ROSU could enter the north of Kosovo and Metohija without previous notice. We oppose the idea that ROSU, KSF or any other, may enter the north of Kosovo and Metohija without the consent and invite of the four Mayors”, Minister of Defense Alexander Vulin said in response to the statement by KFOR spokesman.

- There is a constant tendency to claim that KFOR can allow or not allow Kosovo Security Forces to enter the north of Kosovo and Metohija, but referring to the second part of the agreement that President Vučić reached with the NATO Secretary General in 2013 is persistently avoided, and that is that the Mayors of the north of Kosovo and Metohija must also give their consent – said Minister Vulin.

“Serbs are suddenly no longer mentioned, but this is the arrangement that we agreed to and nothing else. We expect that in the upcoming period, very soon, KFOR will explain to us what they thought by that, how they could make such a statement at all. It is crystal clear that neither ROSU nor the KSF can enter the north of Kosovo and Metohija without the consent of the Serbs in the north of Kosovo and Metohija – Minister Vulin stressed.

He added that the region of north of Kosovo and Metohija is a police region like any other and that every action of special units must be announced to the commander of that region so he would allow it.
