Minister Vulin: The previous governments did not have Vučić's courage, our perseverance, or the confidence of the nation in such laws

- Laws of 2001 to 2005 are laws that not only enabled but they partly participated in firing 400,000 people. It had never been easier to fire people than under those laws, the trade union had never been trampled more easily than under those laws, and foreign investors could not come here, precisely because of these laws. You could see the change, these days when we passed the law, the atmosphere in the Assembly was not so idyllic, but on the contrary, we were heavily attacked, and governments that did not dare to pass the law like this did not have Vučić's courage, as they did not have our persistence, or the trust of the nation either. Thanks to all this, we succeeded and this law has changed things for the better and that is why we have reduced unemployment so severely and that is why we have allowed foreign investors to come in, and consequently, therefore you do not have one single strike in Serbia – Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin said at today's session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in the framework of the debate on labor laws passed after 2000.

He recalled how it looked at the time when these laws were passed, and that did not happen because workers were eager for reluctance and strike, but because they fought to save their lives and pure existence.

- The laws we have passed helped and saved our economy, so, let's not compare these laws from 2001 and 2005 with the law passed by this Assembly and this government. Although you know that I do not care too much about the views of Europe and their bodies, but I will tell you that this Council of Europe made an official stance on the issue of the Labor Act of 2001 and 2005 and said that it was against workers and anti-European – Minister Vulin stated.
