International activities of the Military Healthcare Service
Brigadier General Uglješa Jovičić, PhD in Medicine, Head of the Military Health Department, participated in the plenary session of the Committee of the Chiefs of Military Medical Services (COMEDS), held at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, from 20th to 21st November 2018.
Apart from the report on regular activities between the two meetings, the agenda of the 50th plenary focused on research and innovation, enhancing medical capabilities, opportunities for interoperability and the necessary generation of medical capacity to support future needs was also discussed.Within the COMEDS in charge of military health matters, subject-matter experts from both Allied and Partner countries work together to improve medical support in a multinational dimension in terms of improving medical doctrine, interoperability and capability development.
