Visit from a Delegation of the Union of the Comoros
State Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Aleksandar Živković received a delegation of the Union of the Comoros, led by their Minister of Foreign Affairs and international cooperation Souef Mohamed El-Amine.
During the meeting the interlocutors expressed the interest of the both sides in establishment and development of strategic partnership in the field of defence, particularly in the fields of common interest such as military educational and military medical cooperation.
They also established that the two countries apart from similar problems, share similar values in terms of independence, liberty and territorial integrity, and that they will support each other to protect the said principles at international level.It was pointed out that an initiative would be launched in the period to come to establish a formal-legal framework of cooperation by conclusion of an agreement on defence cooperation between the Republic of Serbia and the Union of the Comoros, striving towards transferring the good overall political cooperation to the field of defence.
At the end of the meeting, Minister El-Amine conferred an official invitation to State Secretary Živković for Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin to visit the Comoros.
