Minister Vulin Received Cuban Hero Nordel
Today, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin met Gerardo Hernandez Nordel, the Cuban hero, MP in the National Assembly and Deputy Director of the Academy of Diplomacy, during his stay in Belgrade. The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Serbia Gustavo Tristá Del Todo. Minister Vulin reminded of traditional friendship of the two peoples who share the same values in terms of liberty, sovereignty and integrity and he expressed gratitude for the principled policy of Cuba of not recognising the unilaterally proclaimed independence of the so called “Kosovo” and of diplomatic efforts regarding the states of the Latin America and Caribbean to resist the pressures to recognise it.
Vulin noted that the global achievements of Cuba in the field of medicine and experience that they could share with Serbia, would be of great importance for our country, which is also at the very peak of world knowledge and experience in the area of military medicine.
Gerardo Nordel expressed his satisfaction with the reception in the Ministry of Defence and pointed out that Cuba also perceived Serbia as a true friend, expressing gratitude for the consistent support of Serbia regarding the struggle of the Cuban nation for freedom and independence.
