Telegrams of condolences in the wake of Pittsburgh crime

Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin sent a letter of condolences to the United States Secretary of Defense James Mattis, in the wake of the attack that happened in a synagogue in Pittsburgh.

“The hate crime that happened in Pittsburgh in the state of Pennsylvania when the Jews were attacked during the religious service in a synagogue is a warning for all those who thought that the madness of anti-Semitism had been defeated for good. Along with the Jews in the temple, the police members perished as well while defending the human lives thus preventing even greater tragedy.

In this difficult moment, my thoughts and the thoughts of all the members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces are with the your people.

On behalf of all members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces and me personally, please pass my sincere condolences on to the families of the perished and wishes for speedy recovery to the injured.”
