Chinese delegation visits the Ministry of Defence
As part of a two-day visit to the Republic of Serbia, a delegation from the People's Republic of China led by Major General Wang Liping, Deputy Chief of the Political Work Department of the Central Military Commission, visited today the Military Academy. The delegation was welcomed by Major General Prof. Bojan Zrnić, Commandant of the Military Academy.
Following the discussion on the organisation, structure and tasks of the Military Academy, as well as its study programmes, courses and capacities, the Chinese delegation visited the Department of Military Mechanical Engineering, the Department of Military Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications and Information Technologies, the pistol shooting range and the sports centre of the Military Academy.
During the visit to Serbia, General Liping with members of his delegation visited the 2nd Missile Battalion of the 250th Missile Brigade, where Colonel Tiosav Janković, brigade commander, presented the work of the missile battery.
The Chinese delegation visited yesterday the Department for Tradition, Standard and Veterans. On that occasion, Colonel Slađan Ristić, head of the department, presented the guests the way of awarding decorations, military memorial medals and memorials, which was the aim of the visit. Also, Colonel Srećko Kuzmanović from the Human Resources Department of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces presented the development of morale in the Serbian Armed Forces, after which the Chinese delegation visited the Military Museum.
The delegation of the People's Republic of China and the delegation of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia laid flowers today at the Memorial to the fallen citizens of China during the NATO aggression in 1999.
