Minister Vulin: Serbia is progressing, and its army will preserve its peace
Today, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin, attended the central gathering commemorating the centenary since the break of the Salonika Front, held at the Serbian military cemetery Zejtinlik.
Minister Vulin stressed on this occasion that the Serbian people, above all, value peace, but also knows that there is no peace without freedom.
- Freedom is the highest value of our people and, just as a hundred years ago, even today, one who thinks that he can take away liberty from Serbs should know that it is simply not possible. In order to be safe, to be free, to decide about ourselves and the fate of our children, we must have a strong and secure state, just as we must have a powerful, satisfied and strong army – Minister Vulin emphasized.
According to him, the Serbian Armed Forces relies on the traditions of our famous ancestors, the Serbian Armed Forces continue the traditions of fighting for freedom, the Serbian Armed Forces is improving, arming, equipping to make sure that it is a bulwark against anyone thinking that they can talk to Serbia using the language of power.
- Serbia is progressing, Serbia is developing, and its army will preserve its peace. Glory to our ancestors, to great memory of those who were there before us and for whom we are worthy of repetition – Minister Vulin said.
Celebration of the centenary of one of the most glorious moments of the Serbian history, remembered in the world as a symbol of great courage and sacrifice of the Serbian people, was attended by Nikola Selaković, envoy of Serbian President and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, a delegation from the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, representatives of the French Government and Greek President, as well as numerous visitors.
