Congratulatory message on the Day of Air Defence Missile Units
I congratulate all members of the Air Defence Missile Units as they celebrate 30th September – the Day of the branch.
By your expertise, responsibility and achievement of good results, for more than a century of existence of your branch, you are showing that you are worthy descendants of the famous artilleryman Radomir Raka Ljutovac, who downed German aircraft from an artillery cannon back in 2015 and entered history as a man who made the first downing of an enemy aircraft with an anti-aircraft cannon in Serbia.
In spite of slower technological developments, you manage to get the maximum out of the equipment you have and always stay up to the task.
I congratulate you on your holiday, convinced that you will continue to successfully perform the assigned tasks.
