Promotion of the fourth season of the Military Academy series
Promotion of the fourth season of the Military Academy series, attended by Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin, was held today at the Cinema Hall in the General Jovan Mišković barracks in Belgrade.
Minister Vulin emphasized that this series significantly contributed to the possibility for Serbia to get to know what our cadets are expecting at the Military Academy, what is “the most valuable and most beautiful in the military calling – friendship, loyalty and love for their homeland”.
According to him, more than 1,300 members of the Serbian Armed Forces, including cadets, took part in the shooting of the series and all branches of the Armed Forces were represented, so that viewers will have the opportunity to see in the new season “solid military life, just as it is, how they practice, how they live and how they dream for the Serbian Armed Forces”.
One of the actors in the series, Nebojša Milovanović, pointed out that every season brings something new, and that this one is very refreshing.
- In this season, the story is clearer and more coherent than in the previous seasons and I am sure the audience will enjoy it. The patriotic moment is more dominant, and the idea to transform cadets to serious officers prevailed, Milovanović said.
- I think that the new season will be very exciting for the audience, because it has everything that was lacking in the third season – more military exercises and more frames from the field, the young actress pointed out.
Cooperation among the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, Radio-Television of Serbia and the NIRA production company on shooting the Military Academy series has lasted for seven years already. During this time, 53 episodes of one of the most viewed series on RTS were recorded on more than 400 locations, with 250 actors and thousands of soldiers and supernumeraries.
The Military Academy series shows life and education at the Military Academy. The first episode has achieved a record audience – 2,220,000 viewers. The second season followed, and then the film entitled “Military Academy - a new beginning” was shot. In just two weeks of screening, the film was seen by more than 100,000 viewers across Serbia, Montenegro and Republika Srpska.
The new, fourth season of the series will have 15 episodes, and the broadcasting will start on 29th September, on Saturdays at the First Programme of RTS, at 8 p.m.
