On the occasion of 15th anniversary of participation of our country in the International Council for Military Sports, Brigadier General Siniša Radović, Head of Delegation of the Republic of Serbia to CISM, speaks about the importance and future of sports in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
Colonel Prof. Miroslav Talijan, Commandant of the Military Academy, writes about what distinguishes our military educational and scientific institution in the defence system and why it represents a unique institution of national importance.
In addition to having achieved outstanding results during the schooling and showing how much they know and can, the best graduates of the Military Academy proudly emphasize: it is their greatest honour that they will be able to serve Serbia as officers and serve as role models for the generations of young people. They speak for the military journal about the trials they encountered during their schooling, as well as about their future plans.
Marching, patrolling, natural emergency nutrition, training in wrestling, knife throwing and bomb throwing, and overcoming water obstacles, with the activities of the group in the rear area of the enemy and rescuing the wounded, were the training topics of the Third Brigade in special conditions at Oblačina Lake, which we are recording by pen and camera.
Among 5,000 soldiers from 32 countries, the teams of our armed forces competed in three disciplines during the International Army Games – Tank Biathlon, Sniper Frontier and Engineering Formula. After the two-week competition, they returned home with a gold medal, a bronze medal and a sixth place won. How it all looked like you can find on the pages of Odbrana magazine.
