Minister of Defence meets with representatives of the of Military Pensioners
Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin has met today with representatives of military pensioners, led by Chair of the Association of Military Pensioners of Serbia, Lieutenant-General Retired Ljubomir Draganjac.
On this occasion, Minister Vulin emphasized that the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces are continuously making efforts to improve the status of military pensioners, adding that intensive efforts have been invested in re-establishing the system where the military personnel will be taken care of from the beginning to the end of their military career and beyond.
The chair of the Association of Military Pensioners Ljubomir Draganjac expressed his satisfaction with the care of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces for the status of military pensioners. On behalf of the Association, he also expressed positive views on the changes in the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces regarding the improvement of the material position and the housing provision for active and retired military personnel, as well as concrete measures on equipping our army with new systems of arms and military equipment.
He also commended the campaign of systematic medical examinations for military pensioners, which was first organised this month, adding that he is pleased to hear the announcement that such campaign will continue in the future.
