Cooperation between Serbia and Suriname




Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin met today with Foreign Minister of  the Republic of Suriname Yldiz Deborah Pollack-Beighle.
 
Minister Vulin thanked Minister Pollack-Beighle for her personal contribution to the decision of the Government of the Republic of Suriname to withdraw the recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo, stressing that he is confident that, especially after the visit of Minister Pollack-Beighle, Suriname will retain this position in the upcoming period as well.
 
He expressed his particular satisfaction with the meeting with the representatives of Suriname in Belgrade again and reminded of the last year's open and friendly talks with Interior Minister Mohamed Noersalim.
 
Ministers Vulin and Pollack-Beighle expressed their conviction that in the forthcoming period, on the basis of joint positions of Serbia and Surinam relating to issues of national interests of both sides, opportunities will open up for establishing a comprehensive cooperation between our peoples and states, including the defence sector.
