Minister Vulin: Serbs Will Never Serve in the Armed Forces of Kosovo
“For the state of Serbia and its Armed Forces the establishment of any kind of armed force in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija is absolutely unacceptable” stated Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin commenting on the statements on the establishment of the so called Armed Forces of Kosovo.
- In our view, everything that is not in line with the Resolution 1244, everything that is not KFOR, represents destabilisation of the region and something with which we cannot and will not agree. Every Serb who lives in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija should know very well that serving in some false Armed Forces of Kosovo means serving against one’s own people and serving against one’s own state. Those who are making the Armed Forces of Kosovo are not creating it to wage war against Albania, or to establish order in Kosovo, or to start a conflict with any of their neighbours. They are creating it exclusively, and for only one purpose – to destabilise the region and to try to endanger Serbia and the Serbs. There is no other reason for the existence of the Armed Forces of Kosovo. That is why every Serb living in the territory of Kosovo and Metohija should know that he does not belong in such armed forces, and that his serving in such armed forces eventually leads to him fighting against his relatives and his brothers – Minister Vulin concluded.
