Members of Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces marked the anniversary of Battle of Kosovo and Saint Vitus' Day
Today in Krusevac, the 629th anniversary of Battle of Kosovo and Saint Vitus' Day was marked by a series of events, and members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces participated in the celebration.
The delegation of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, led by Brigadier General Jelesije Radivojević, including Colonel Velibor Pavlović and Ivan Lazarević, have attended today the state wreath-laying ceremony and paying homage on the occasion of 629th anniversary of the Battle of Kosovo, held at the Monument to the Kosovo Heroes.
After that, the delegation of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces also attended the unveiling of the monument to Princess Milica, at the Despot Stefan Lazarevic Square in the centre of Kruševac, on the occasion of Saint Vitus' Day, which Kruševac marks as its day.
Members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces have participated today in Kruševac in a memorial service and following the shrine with the relics of Prince Lazar, organised by the Lazarica Church and Diocese of Kruševac, in the presence of Patriarch Irinej of Serbia, the clergy of the Diocese of Kruševac, the local government of Kruševac, Rasina Administrative District and numerous citizens.
Members of the Command for Development of Rasina Brigade, located in the Tzar Lazar barracks in Kruševac, have marked today Saint Vitus' Day and celebrated the Patron Saint's Day of the unit, the Holy Martyr Tzar Lazar and the Serbian holy martyrs – Saint Vitus' Day, in the presence and service of the priest Captain Stevan Stevanović, the priest of the Special Forces Brigade of the Army and Diocese of Kruševac.
The central ceremony in Kruševac was led by the Minister of Labour, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Zoran Đorđević, in his capacity as an envoy of the Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
