Minister Vulin: We are developing our activities for the benefit of the entire society
Today, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin visited Plant for processing wood, PVC and aluminium windows and doors of the “Beograd” Military Construction Centre in Šabac.
Minister Vulin was presented the organizational structure, location, purposes and capacities of the Plant.
According to him, the Ministry of Defence wants to develop all segments, not only of the Ministry, but of the Serbian Armed Forces, as well.
- The Serbian Armed Forces has its three missions as its most important part, ranging from the protection of the sovereignty of the country, through participation in peacekeeping operations, to rendering assistance to the civil authorities in the event of humanitarian catastrophes and natural disasters. The Ministry of Defence also has a mission to develop the economy and to develop economic activity in every segment of its life. We manufacture furniture, we manufacture windows and doors, we are dealing with building construction, and we believe that this is proof that the budget money we have can be used for generating new money as well, Minister Vulin said.
He said that the Ministry of Defence will use what it has received from the government to develop economic activity, to employ new people, to once again demonstrate that any investment in the Armed Forces is actually an investment in the standard of living of each of us and that we should use and develop what we have.
- The Ministry of Defence will not give up any of its parts. Just as we are no longer destroying weapons, so we will not destroy the economic entities that are within our composition but we are going to develop them for the benefit of the entire society, Minister of Defence concluded.
Radenko Suzić, Head of the Plant for processing wood, PVC and aluminium windows and doors, thanked Minister Vulin for visiting the Plant today and inspecting the capabilities and capacities they can offer to the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
- In the future, we will strive to increase the number of products we need to produce and to work even better and in a more quality manner, Suzić said.
