Defence Cooperation with Greece developed
Colonel Milan Ranković, Head of the Department for International Military Cooperation, and Colonel Antonios Patelis, Defence Attaché of the Hellenic Republic, have signed a Programme for Bilateral Military Cooperation between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of National Defence of the Hellenic Republic, today.
During the meeting, both sides expressed satisfaction with the achieved level of cooperation in the field of defence, emphasizing the commitment to intensify cooperation in the focus areas.
Colonel Ranković emphasized the importance of conducting joint exercises of special force units of the two armies that give a special quality to the cooperation and contribute to raising the level of operational and functional capabilities.
Colonel Patelis repeated the readiness of the Hellenic Republic to continue supporting and sharing experiences in the European integration process, especially in the engagement of the Republic of Serbia in the EU's HELBROC battle group.
The interlocutors also agreed that the priority in the forthcoming period should be the promotion of military-to-military and military-economic cooperation.
