Minister of Defence meets UNICEF Representative in Serbia




 
Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin received yesterday in a farewell visit Michel Saint-Lot, director of the UNICEF Office in Serbia, stressing that the meeting represents the continuity of the cooperation of the Republic of Serbia with the UN and its specialized agencies and bodies in our country.
 
Minister Vulin wished Saint-Lot success on his new duty, thanked him for his cooperation and the fact that, through his diplomatic experience and dedication, he contributed to a better position of children in the field of law, improving living conditions and their safer environment in Serbia in the past period.
 
Saint-Lot stressed that he was honoured to represent UNICEF in Serbia and thanked for the support provided during his mandate, especially in the area of ​​resolving the migrant crisis. He pointed out that, unlike some European Union countries, Serbia has shown greater willingness and readiness in mitigation of the consequences and solving the problems of migrants.
 
Saint-Lot added that he and his family were warmly received and that they are taking the most beautiful memories from Belgrade and Serbia.
 
Michel Saint-Lot served as director of the UNICEF Office in Serbia since 1st November 2013.
