Minister Vulin: One of the Priorities is the Cooperation with Veterans




 
Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin participated today in traditional event “Balkan Friendship Jump 2018” at sports airfield “Lisičiji jarak” in Belgrade.
 
Minister Vulin made a parachute jump with a tandem partner from a plane Antonov AN-2 from the height of 3000 metres and later in the day he met the representatives of veteran associations.
 
According to Minister Vulin, the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces will always take care of all our veterans, of all our combatants, and that is why good cooperation with veteran associations is one of our priorities.
 
- All these people fought for their country, they defended it, and of course, they should expect and receive the gratitude of their country and their armed forces for everything that they did –Minister Vulin said.
 
The organiser of the event retired Colonel Nenad Kuzmanović stated that the support of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces was of exceptional importance for the organisation of such an event.
 
- We were given two flights by Antonov An-26, and yesterday we jumped from the height of 5,500 metres, and today from 5,800 metres which is a particular pleasure and made us all really happy. I would personally thank Minister Vulin who made his third jump today - Kuzmanović said.
 
The event is organised by Veteran Parachute Club of the 63rd Parachute Brigade “Arhistratig” and Aeronautical Union of Serbia with the support of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Ministry of Interior, Mission of the Republic of Srpska in Belgrade and Parachute Clubs “Feniks” and “Delta”.
“Balkan Friendship Jump” ” has been held since 1993 when it was organised for the first time by Greek Union of Reserve Parachutists and the 63rd Parachute Brigade from Serbia.
