Programme for Bilateral Military Cooperation Signed with Turkey
Programme for Bilateral Military Cooperation between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey for the year 2018 was signed today by Head of Department for International Military Cooperation Colonel Milan Ranković and Defence Attaché of the Republic of Turkey in Belgrade Colonel Memduh Orbay Kilinç.
The interlocutors agreed that defence cooperation was good and that there existed possibilities for its further advancement.
Colonel Ranković assessed that the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, apart from the continuation of development of cooperation in focal areas, placed accent on enhancement of military-to-military cooperation at the highest level. He pointed out that the meetings at the highest level could leave a particular mark, as an impetus for the future cooperation. He also expressed his satisfaction with the final harmonisation of Agreement on Cooperation in the field of Defence between the two governments.
Colonel Kilinç highlighted that the Ministry of National Defence and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Turkey oriented towards a substantial development of defence cooperation with the Republic of Serbia. The activities from the Programme for bilateral military cooperation are a good foundation for further advancement of cooperation particularly in the fields of military education and the cooperation between the two air forces.
