Debate on Amendments to the Set on Defence Laws Continued in the Assembly
The fourth session of the First regular sitting of the Serbian Assembly has been continued today by a debate on amendments to proposed set of laws in the field of defence which was attended by Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin.
Today’s session started with the discussion on amendments to Draft Law on Military Education. The MPs proposed 653 amendments to that draft law, and the Government suggested that the National Assembly adopts one of them.
The MPs of the Serbian Assembly, during the previous session, adopted part of the draft laws and decisions envisaged by the agenda of the fourth regular sitting.
The full support was given to draft decisions on the adoption of Annual Plan for the Use of the Serbian Armed Forces and Other Defence Forces in Multinational Operations for the year 2018 and the participation of the members of the Serbian Armed Forces in multinational operations in 2018.
Also, the representatives of the highest legislative body supported draft laws on ratification of Memorandums of understanding between the Government of Serbia and Government of the State of Israel regarding military, defence and defence industry cooperation, and on ratification of Memorandum of understanding between the Government of Serbia and the Government of Greece concerning cooperation within the Athens Multinational Sealift Coordination Centre.
When it comes to the set of legal documents in the field of defence, the adopted documents include draft Law on ratification of Aviation cooperation memorandum between the Government of Serbia and Government of the Republic of Srpska and the one on ratification of Agreement between the Government of Serbian and Government of Romania on cooperation in the field of defence.
