In the accident that occurred today in the area of the Kovačica Municipality, during the regular training flight on the Supergaleb G-4 trainer-combat aircraft, pilot Major Robert Kaloci was killed, and the injured pilot Major Aleksandar Matić, was transported in a conscious state and taken care of at the Military Medical Academy.
Major Kaloci was the test pilot at the Flight Test Centre of the Technical-Test Centre, he was married and had a son.
The competent prosecutor is at the accident site. The investigation is underway.
Telegrams of condolences to the perished pilot's family were sent by Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin and Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Ljubiša Diković.
On the occasion of the tragic event, the Minister of Defence and the Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces will give statements to the media at 13:00, in front of the MMA.
