India is an Important Partner of Serbia



Today, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin met the Minister of Defence of the Republic of India Nirmala Sitharaman on the side-lines of the Seventh Moscow Conference on International Security.
 
Ministers Vulin and Sitharaman highlighted traditionally good overall and political relations between Serbia and India and concluded that the cooperation of the two countries, founded on friendly relations and understanding, is characterised by mutual readiness to intensify and advance the political dialogue and develop the overall cooperation.
 
Minister Vulin thanked his colleague from India for the support rendered by her country to territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, and to its efforts to resolve all the open issues in Kosovo and Metohija in a peaceful fashion, through dialogue of the interested parties.
 
Minister of Defence Sitharaman expressed interest of India in the enhancement of cooperation with the Ministry of Defence of Serbia and our defence industry and she invited a delegation of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces to attend the exhibition of arms and military equipment “DEFEXPO INDIA 2018”.
