Programme for Bilateral Military Cooperation with FR Germany Signed
Head of Department for International Military Cooperation Colonel Milan Ranković and Defence Attaché of FR Germany in Belgrade, Colonel Karl Thomas Becker, signed today the Programme for Bilateral Military Cooperation between the Federal Ministry of Defence of Germany and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia for the year 2018.
The interlocutors agreed that defence cooperation is intensive and comprehensive and that the special quality is given by joint engagement of the members of the armed forces in the EU Mission in Mali.
Colonel Ranković underlined that apart from the continuation of development of cooperation in focal areas, the Ministry of Defence places accent on the advancement of military economic cooperation. The procurement of helicopters H-145M of the “Airbus” Company can represent an impetus for the Serbian Armed Forces for further intensification of military economic and overall cooperation.
Colonel Becker conveyed the readiness for the continued support of Germany for Serbia, particularly through the programme of “Assistance in Training and Education” and exchange of experiences regarding participation in activities of Common security and defence policy, EU Battlegroups Concept and participation in projects of the European Defence Agency.
