Telegram of Condolences for the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation
Following the tragic crash of the Russian military transport plane “Antonov 26” and death of 39 passengers and crew members in Syria, Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin sent a telegram of condolences to the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation General of the Army Sergey Kuzhugetovich Shoygu. The telegram reads as follows:
“The world would have to respect the sacrifices that the Russian Federation makes to prevent the evil of the Islamic State spreading to other countries and cities.
Each day that passes in peace in our countries far from the evil which you, by your sacrifices and your struggle, have stopped and defeated in Syria, it is the day when we should remember all fallen warriors that fought against terrorism and we should thank their country and their families.
On behalf of all the members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces I thank you and extend my heartfelt condolences and sympathy.”
