Congratulatory Message of the Minister of Defence for the Day of the Military Medical Academy
I extend cordial congratulations for 2nd March – Day of the Military Medical Academy to all its members.
On this date in 1844, Prince Aleksandar Karađorđević passed an act on the establishment of the Hospital of the Central armed forces, which laid foundations for the Main Military Hospital, the forerunner of today’s Military Medical Academy. Continuing almost two centuries long tradition, owing to exceptional expertise, high level of professionalism and doctors’ ethics, you have managed to achieve great renown both in our country and in the region as well.
Your work is confirmed by successful results achieved in preventive, secondary and tertiary medicine, treatment, teaching and scientific-research work and your show each moment the significance and meaning that you attach to the sources of medical science and given Hippocratic Oath.
I congratulate this holiday to you, wishing that you maintain the status of this respected health institution of ours, confident that in the period to come you will be a significant element of the military health care, and that you will achieve notable results and be successful in your work.
