Minister Vulin at a Celebration in the Kremlin
This evening, in Moscow, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin, as the official representative of the Republic of Serbia, attended a ceremony which took place in the Kremlin to mark one hundred years from the establishment of the Red Army and Defender of the Fatherland Day.
The present were addressed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin who stressed that Defender of the Fatherland Day was based on “a deep and sincere feeling of respect for those who defended and who defend the peaceful life of the citizens”.
- Military profession has always been appreciated in the homeland. Russia was often faced with foreign threats and attacks against its independence, and our soldiers, sailors and officers bravely defended the country – said the President of Russia.
Putin congratulated the soldiers, civilian personnel and veterans of the Russian Armed Forces the upcoming holiday which is marked on 23rd February in a memory of the veterans who gave a tremendous contribution to development of the Russian Armed Forces.
Minister Vulin stays in the Russian Federation at the invitation of the Minister of Defence General of the Army Sergey Shoygu.
