I congratulate 24th February – Day of the University of Defence to all its members.
On this date, in 2011, the Government of the Republic of Serbian passed a Decision on founding the University of Defence in Belgrade, and honouring the tradition and holidays of the military high educational establishments, this date was selected as the Day of the University of Defence.
Defence system reform, military doctrine, changes in the strategy of national security, and modernisation of the Serbian Armed Forces require changes in the field of military education, which is developed in a good direction despite numerous temptations and obligations. Even after organisational-mobilisation changes in the field of military education, numerous results and notable successes have been achieved in the area of military education.
I congratulate this holiday to you and I wish that in the upcoming period you fulfil all the assigned obligations and tasks in the field of military education and give full contribution, through your results in the teaching process and scientific and research work, to successful development of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces.
Congratulatory Messages on the Day of Defence Inspectorate
I congratulate 26th February – Day of the Defence Inspectorate to all its members.
On this date, in 1911, King Petar I Karađorđević passed a Regulation on the General Inspection of the overall armed forces, pursuant to the Law on the establishment of the armed forces and Law on establishment of the Military Ministry. The Regulation defined the composition, responsibilities and authorisations of the General Inspection which represented a formal and legal establishment of a unique inspection of the Serbian armed forces.
Continuing more than a century long tradition, in the previous period you successfully discharged the activities of inspection oversight relating to the implementation of defence laws and the activities significant to defence and Serbian Armed Forces, regulations passed pursuant to laws, plans and state bodies’ measures, of organisations and Serbian Armed Forces, and all other activities in the purview of inspection oversight.
I congratulate this holiday to you, wishing that in the period to come you execute all assigned obligations and tasks and give full contribution of the activities of inspection oversight in the field of defence.
