Congratulatory Message on the Day of Military Archives
I extend sincere congratulations on the occasion of 5th February – the Day of the Military Archives to all the members of this establishment.
Continuing almost century and a half long tradition of the Third History Division of the Chief General Staff which was tasked to “collect historical data”, safeguard the entire archives and manage the Library of the General Staff and which laid the foundation of the first institutionalised dealing with military history and archives in the Serbian Army, you have given a significant contribution to the protection of cultural heritage of both the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces, and of the Republic of Serbia. You continuously demonstrate how the national spirit and traditions are presented and cherished.
I am confident that you will in the future accomplish notable results in the field of scientific and research work owing to the perseverance in your research work and gathering of the archival material from the rich cultural treasury of the Military Archives.

Congratulatory Message on the Day of Strategic Research Institute
I congratulate 5th February – the Day of the Strategic Research Institute to all its members.
The first institutionalised dealing with military history was established in 1876 by a decree of the Prince Milan Obrenović on the “Establishment of the Chief General Staff”, which envisaged that the Chief General Staff consisted of three divisions, the third being dedicated to history, and the first official proposal for the production of military history and gathering archival material by Professor of history and Geography in the Artillery School, Jovan Dragašević, pointed to the Minister of Military to many segments dealing with war and war skills.
Continuing more than a century long tradition, I am certain that you will in the period to come, give full contribution both in the field of historiography and scientific and research work, and to the affirmation of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence.
I congratulate this holiday to you and I wish you a lot of success in the realisation of all your plans, and, through your expert and scientific work, to incessantly enrich the national awareness about us in the world that we live in.
