Montenegro Should Reconsider its Decision
Answering reporter’s question regarding the announcement of Montenegro that it will send staff officers to NATO mission “KFOR” in Kosovo and Metohija, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin said:
- I would most kindly ask the state of Montenegro and Montenegrin Ministry of Defence to reconsider this once more and not to send its armed forces to Kosovo and Metohija. They know very well that Kosovo and Metohija is part of the state of Serbia pursuant to the UN Resolution 1244 and I will remind them that they used to be a part of that same state during the NATO Aggression and that the citizens of Montenegro were also killed by the same aggressor and I would truly ask them to refrain from it, and not to make such moves without consulting the Republic of Serbia, because if they do that, it will certainly not help the dialogue, and it will certainly not help the stabilisation in this area, and it definitively will not help the improvement of relations with the state of Serbia – Minister Vulin emphasised.
