Seminar on NATO Standardisation



A seminar on NATO standardisation, which was attended by the members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, was held from 24th to 26th January in the Guard Club in Topčider.

An expert team from the NATO Standardisation Office presented fundamental standardisation processes to the participants of the seminar. 

The members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces exchanged experiences with the experts from the Office regarding publishing, distribution and implementation of standards, possible participation of partners in the process of standards’ development, and about the experiences gained so far by the participants of the seminar pertaining to the standardisation in the Republic of Serbia.

It was particularly emphasised that in line with the regulations in place in the Republic of Serbia, only national standards could be implemented, and that the national organisation for standardisation might adopt and issue relevant international and regional standards.
