A Year Worth Repeating
I wish to extend the New Year’s greetings, on behalf of the members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, to all those who are seeing in the Orthodox New Year this eventing, and who today rejoice at the beginning of the New Year, and I wish them good health, a lot of happiness, to wish them a year worth repeating, a year of peace, work, a year of a successful, stable Serbia, and a year in which children will be born, a year in which all of us will be more successful and better.
This year, which will be marked by work and development, has to be a year in which we will all think of each other more. That is why, this evening, I wish all the best particularly to Serbs living out of Serbia, to those who are far from Serbia and perhaps celebrate even louder and with greater passion this evening as a part of our collective entity, our national identity, as something that makes us so special and so unique. At the same time, I send greetings and wish a happy Orthodox New Year to all the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, and I want them to know that we are looking after them, that they are never alone and that their state is always there for them.
I wish a happy Orthodox New Year to all the Serbs in the Republic of Srpska and I am sending them a message that their Serbia is always there for them. I wish to share this night that we Serbs in particular celebrate, with the ones who live with us, so that they know how good and what great bounty it is to live with differences and be so proud of what makes you special and unique. I wish every happiness and success to all those who are celebrating the arrival of the New Year tonight – Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin said visiting the Military Medical Emergency Centre.
