Congratulatory Message by the Minister of Defence on the Occasion of the Day of Air Force and Air Defence
I congratulate 24th December – Day of the Arm, to all the members of the Air Force and Air Defence.
Upon decision of Serbian Ministry of the Military and Main General Staff, Marshall Radomir Putnik passed a decision more than a century ago, on the establishment of the Air Force Command with headquarters in Niš.
Proudly continuing the rich tradition, when Serbia was among fifteen countries of the world that had military aviation and among five countries that used aeroplanes in combat actions, using rich experience and knowledge, you put maximum efforts in discharging the assigned tasks.
Despite complex working conditions, you employ the objective capabilities in the best possible manner in line with the requirements of the modern age to modernise your units, whereat you demonstrate a high level of professionalism and readiness to execute the tasks in front of you at any moment.
I congratulate this holiday to you, confident that in the future you will successfully execute assigned tasks and contribute to building and developing of both your units and the Air Force of the Serbian Armed Forces as a whole.
