General Diković Visited the Military Archives




Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Ljubiša Diković accompanied by the members of his Board visited today the Military Archives in Belgrade barracks “Žarkovо”
 
General Diković, accompanied by Major General Mladen Vuruna, Rector of the University of Defence, observed the distribution and organisation of work of the Military Archives. During the visit a part of archival material was presented to him, as well as digital classroom and the activities conducted by the members of that institution regarding collecting, processing and safeguarding the archival material of historical value.
 
- Immensely rich archival material protects and defends our history and consequently our future – General Diković said among other, and added that the significance of the Military Archives was particularly pronounced today, when some were trying to present our history in a different light that it truly was.
 
Today, in “Žarkovо” barracks a session of extended Board of the Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces was held at which the Board reconsidered planning documents for the following year.
