Telegram of Condolence for the Minister of National Defence of Greece

On the occasion of floods which paralysed life in Athens and following the death of innocent people, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin sent a telegram of condolences to the Minister of National Defence of Hellenic Republic Panos Kammenos. The telegram reads:

“I was deeply shaken by the news about the floods that paralised life in Athens and about the death of innocent people.

The members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, and the citizens of Serbia, sincerely sympathise with friendly people of Greece.

We are ready to offer our assistance and any form of support to overcome the problems caused by the torrent. The nature has yet again shown its other face and that it can unpleasantly surprise us, which is why it is necessary for all the countries of the region to swiftly work towards establishing cooperation in the field of emergency situations as well.

Dear friend, I am confident that the unselfish willingness to provide assistance and to act together in these difficult moments for the Greek people will once again demonstrate the strength of our friendship.”
