Lieutenant Colonel of the Serbian Armed Forces, Igor Veselinovski, commander of the 17th Mechanized Battalion from Bačka Topola and Mićo Ivančević, a civilian serving in the same unit, died in a traffic accident that occurred around 7.45 this morning on the Subotica - Novi Sad highway near the Feketić loop.
The vehicle Fiat 500L, which was on a planned task, was driven by a professional soldier, Lance Corporal Dejan Nikolovski, who was seriously injured and transferred with life-threatening injuries to the Clinical Center of Vojvodina in Novi Sad.
The accident occured in a chain crash and, apart from an ambulance, the teams of the Ministry of Interior and Military Police also came to the scene of the accident.
