Open day in Požega
The "Open Day" campaign in the "National Hero Vlada Radovanović" barracks in Požega, organized by the Central Logistic Base, gathered a large number of visitors from Požega and the surrounding area. The campaign was organized for the first time in this barracks, and the most numerous were the children of preschool institutions and pupils of elementary and secondary schools from Požega.
In addition to the static display of arms, military equipment and materiel, a part of the Open Day programme was also thematic lectures, a monologue on the topic "Obrenović Dynasty" in the performance of the curator of the museum in Gornji Milanovac, as well as the humanitarian action of voluntary blood donation organized by the Military Medical Academy.
- The citizens of Požega and the surrounding area consider this action very important because it is a unique opportunity to socialize with members of the Serbian Armed Forces and build mutual trust. The aim of the campaign is to bring closer the military calling to the visitors through the presentation of the assets we have and a part of tasks we perform in order to encourage the younger population to consider it as their future profession, battalion commander Lieutenant Colonel Manojle Mićović said, stressing that all members of the unit have invested great efforts in preparation of the campaign because they believe that this is one of the most beautiful tasks that the Serbian Armed Forces performs.
